The markets in Asia dropped precipitously on Wednesday. We have problems, as we can expect that same. Update in the morning: markets seem to have stopped falling and perhaps we will see some recover.

Talk about "goofball" outcomes: this time it is "Child Pornography"

CNET has an article about children under 18 being prosecuted for producing "Child Pornography", because they had taken racy pics of themselves. This is typical of the overreaching that is happening on this topic. Things are totally out of control, and there is no way to stop it (just like prosecuting guys for "fashion sites", where the girls are clothed, but a prosecutor still said that the pics were racy, which is not allowed for young girls). No one has any common sense about this business.

The bottom dropped out of the stock markets

In the last half hour, the bottom dropped out of the stock markets. The Dow briefly went over 500 points down, although at this instant, it has pulled back to 404.32. Some Bears have made some bucks, today. People invested in "emerging markets" have lost their shirts (can you think of any cliches I haven't used?).
