Nancy Pelosi: Cleavage?

Ann Althouse pointed out this pic of Nancy Pelosi showing off a bit of cleavage.

The Globe and Mail has a pic of the bridge collapse

The Globe and Mail has a story and a good pic of the collapsed bridge over the Mississippi River in Minnesota.

Eloise, at Spitbull, also weighs in the bridge collapse and has a pic

Eloise, writing at Spitbull, writes about the bridge collapse in Minnesota and has a pic of the bridge before the collapse. The picture did not inspire confidence in me and I am glad that I had not seen it when I regularly traveled over the bridge in 2001-2004.

The big news this morning was the bridge collapse in Minnesota

When I got in the car this morning to drive the 29 miles to work, the first thing that I heard about was the story about the I-35 bridge over the Mississippi collapsing. I must have seen the story on Drudge, but it didn't occur to me what it was. Ed Morrissey has the story on Captain's Quarters from last night. His family is safe. Now I wonder about my friends in the area and if they are safe. I lived and worked in the area from July 2001 until June 2004 and had driven over the bridge every time that I visited the University of Minnesota library. I lived in a western suburb and worked on the north side of town. I actually worked on the north side of the main downtown for about eight months and the rest of the time, I was northwest or northeast. Powerline has more story and a picture. Chad the Elder, at Fraters Libertas, has moer as well ("Sudden Collapse"). I would imagine that KSTP and the Star Tribune might have the latest scoop, and they do. The Star Tribune has a picture of some wreckage and a small car in the water. I just looked at a map to try and better understand where the collapse was in relation to the University of Minnesota campus. The Wilson Library is on the West Bank campus, so I did frequently travel the bridge that collapsed. The question is now, if my friends in the Twin Cities and their families are safe.

Sebastien Chaball: A modern day Neanderthal?

Razib, writing at Gene Expression has another piece about Neanderthals and humans. He has a picture of Sebastien Chaball, who he thinks resembles a Neanderthal. If humans and Neanderthals interbred, which seem likely, then this could well be. I have seen people who resemble the type, as probably most people have.
